Phoenix Children's Museum

We have a brand new Children's Museum, in downtown Phoenix - it's in an old school building; the kids LOVED it, and I did too - lots to do, and very creative activities; here is the bottom floor, with a three story CD hanging in the background, which caught the light from the windows

Arizona Diamondback's stadium

It used to be called the Bank One Ballpark, or BOB for short, but is now Chase stadium, and it houses the Arizona Diamondbacks; the coolest thing about the stadium is the retractable roof - it's open for this shot to give the grass some sun, but they can close it up when it's just too dang hot out for the fans

We took this picture from the TGIF restaurant, which is in the ballpark and offers stadium views

vacation beckons!

Wall of hands

If you purchase a certain level of membership at the Great Arizona Puppet Theater, you get to place your hand on the famous (sort of) wall of hands - aren't they colorful?

off on vaca, back soon!

Bianco's garden

One of the things I love about Chris Bianco (Pizzeria Bianco) is that he has his little gardens all around his restaurant - what he doesn't grow himself, he tries to purchase from local farms and businesses.

Pizzeria Bianco

If you are in Phoenix and want to try a great local (gourmet) pizza place, you want to find your way to Chris Bianco's restaurant in downtown Phoenix - he was even featured on Oprah! He's only open for dinner, and you'll have a long wait for a table, but they have a nice bar right next door to help out - your pizza will be made by Chris himself - no take-outs! The guy only allows as much business as he can personally handle - you gotta love an artist like that

Oleander tree

I'm not much of a fan of oleanders, which are usually in the form of a bush, but this oleander tree with the seating underneath caught my eye - this was taken in the complex outside of the Arizona Science Center, which is an historic district

All about burps and belches

Another display at the Grossology exhibit at the Arizona Science Center - this one about burpes and belches - the kids make the guy drink soda through a straw, and he ends up burping periodically - obviously, a big hit My three favorite daily photos for today are:

Is it, or isn't it?

I know, I know, orbs in photos are caused by dust, yadda, yadda, yadda

But -

Check out how this "orb" is sitting right in front of my child's face, like they are having a little conversation! Gives you pause, doesn't it?

This is inside the Great Arizona Puppet Theatre, which is in Central Phoenix in an old renovated church - very pretty!

The puppet show

This past weekend, the kids and I checked out a puppet show at the Great Arizona Puppet Theater - it was great, and I love that it is in an old (old for Arizona) church, built in 1929; the presentation was Goldilocks
