These little nubby plants are actually kind of pretty when they are allowed to grow a little; I showed them here in this pic awhile back; I think they're called deer grass, but I've been known to be wrong once before...

Deer grass looks really nice in both your posts. I am slowly planting different kinds of decorative grasses and am slowly getting rid of the lawn grasses. In the end I should have only native grasses and maybe some clump bamboo.
