Dr. Chandler and Frank Lloyd Wright
Another view of the statue featured yesterday - the man seated is Dr. Chandler, founder of our town, and the man standing is Frank Lloyd Wright, the famous architect, who actually did not do anything for Chandler, but was a friend of Dr. Chandler - they had plans to work on projects together, but the Great Depression got in the way.

The Man
This is a statue of Dr. AJ Chandler, who my town is named after; it sits in the park downtown, which was divided into two when they decided to build a road straight into Chandler from the other parts of Phoenix (Arizona Avenue)

Arizona Theme Day - doorways
The Arizona Daily Photo blogs do a theme day on the 15th of the month - I waited until today to find my picture for this month's theme - this is the entrance to a place called Inspirador, in Downtown Chandler; it's a place for parties, weddings, etc...
