DP Theme Day - the color yellow

Rainbow

This photo was taken about a month ago, when a huge rainbow appeared after the rains - it was coming down right in our neighborhood - this photo was taken in our backyard

It doesn't snow where we live, so we have to settle for a snowman made of tin; he's happy in our pot of chili peppers

Look what we found!

In Arizona, we don't have to deal with hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados, or time zone changes; but, we do have to deal with scorpions - this little guy was found hanging out on the kitchen floor at a friend's house, when everyone (including kids) was running around barefoot. He was alive and feisty - the kids caught him in a jar and threw some crickets in to see what would happen - who do you think won that fight?

Good to be home

Here's a ragtag front yard garden, with the poor sunflowers just trying to get through another hot day! We are coming home from our vacation today - it's always good to be home!

These are Lady's Bank roses, on a vine in our backyard - I took this a couple weeks ago, and they are already gone - but they are so pretty when they're here

A sort of foggy morn

It's been rainy the last couple of days, and this morning as the sun rose, there was fog on the water outside our house - it didn't show up very well at all, but it's still a peaceful picture

This was taken about a month ago, it's a vine growing in one of our front porch pots - I think it's a snail vine? The flowers didn't last long, but they were pretty

Our front porch

There's all kinds of interesting things growing in our pretty front porch pots - strawberries, cilantro, hot peppers, rosemary, and a mystery plant that is growing who-knows-what

This was taken through my kitchen window - you can see the water marks on the window, since it is right above my kitchen sink where the boys love to play with water.
