Here's a shot of the Superstition Mountains, mentioned in my last post, as where the Lost Dutchman's Mine is hidden - they are pretty rugged and supposedly, cursed

This sign, marking the entrance to the town of Apache Junction, pays tribute to the Lost Dutchman, who's fortune is rumored to be hidden somewhere in the Superstition Mountains; no one has found the treasure, but many have met unfortunate events trying to find it....

Rustler's Rooste is a restaurant at the Pointe South Mountain in Phoenix, that caters to the tourists with all things Western; they even have rattlesnake on the menu! Another cool feature is the slide, which you may choose to take instead of the stairs, to get down to the dining room - it's not just for kids!

Haven't posted in a few days, life just got too crazy - plus I keep on breaking my cameras! They just make them so fragile - can't take a drop once in awhile - this shot was taken at Desert Breeze Park in Chandler

I've posted quite a few pics from Canyon Lake, but you'll rarely see the lake like this, with the levels so low; as I've mentioned, they are working on the dam and have lowered the lake levels a lot - makes for interesting pictures

This was taken at the entrance of San Tan Flats in Queen Creek; I seemed to have cut the top off, but I still like it - San Tan Flats is a funky little cowboy/biker restaurant/bar/music hall out in the boonies

We took a trip back out to Canyon Lake - the water level is still very low since they are working on the dam, but we noticed they've set up some Christmas trees to provide structure for fish to hind under once the level is back up - makes for some good fishing, hopefully

Every 1st of the month, the Daily Photo website has a theme day - January 1st theme is to pick your favorite picture from 2007! Way too hard, so I let my hubby pick his favorite - he narrowed it to three, and this was one of them - it was posted in November
