I'm thinking that if it is at a research place, it may represent something I don't recognize. I would hope! Good photo of it, tho.
I have seen much nicer looking fountains. It looks way to bulky to me but then I am not a fountain person.
Hmmm, why do you think it is ugly? It doesn't have a classic sort of design so I would say it is different. Does it fit in with the surrounding architecture?
it is certainly a contender - looks as if it should be at the bottom of a resevoir - Hyde DP has a puzzle today.
