Today we drove out to Canyon Lake, which is past Apache Junction southeast of Phoenix. They are working on the dam, so the lake is way down - in this picture, you can see the level it is usually at by where the plant life starts along the mountain. It's a really pretty lake, especially if you love the desert - pretty drive, too

I like how you are looking over the fence at the water.
What a pity you weren't able to get your camera in between the uprights, or over the top of the railings, it's a great landscape.
this is a beautiful landscape of all sorts of browns. it is so different, so beautiful than what i am used to.
