Palm trees

There are no shortage of palm trees to photograph around here - these were taken from the parking lot at the Phoenix Zoo, and you can see Hunt's tomb in the background (looks like a little pyramid). Hunt was the first governor of Arizona, and he fought for women's voting rights! The mountains to the right are the Papago mountains.

Palm trees, tombs, pyramids, mountains. I enjoyed the view.

Oh this is neat. I like the tomb in the background. It adds something. I also like the mountains. I just don't remember the palm trees so this is a pleasant surprise.

Of course, it has been a long, long time since I was in Phoenix or Tucson. Tucson was, in 1952, about two blocks long from downtown Levys of Tucson, to the bus station. And along raceway (was it called that?) from the underground where the train tracks passed over the street, to the edge of town past the library and the university was just a few blocks. Mt. Lemon used to be way out of town.

So Phoenix was something smaller like Tucson. I just can't remember much about it.

Thanks, too, by the way, for putting my link on your blog. I think you are the only one I have seen so far.

This is the second episode of the Robin feeding the babies. Mom had her head down a throat today.
